NEW YORK – Michelle Caruso-Cabrera is a Democratic party candidate in the June 23rd primary election to represent New York’s 14th Congressional District in the Bronx and Queens. Caruso-Cabrera is a national award-winning news reporter and television anchor, and released a video making the case for her run for Congress.
The two-borough district she hopes to represent is thought by many to be among the nation’s most demographically diverse. It includes, in Queens, the communities of Astoria, College Point, Corona, East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Sunnyside, and Woodside, and in the Bronx, City Island, Country Club, Van Nest, Morris Park, Parkchester, Pelham Bay, Schuylerville, and Throggs Neck.
Caruso-Cabrera is challenging the incumbent, Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, for the Democratic nomination.
